CD Artwork Requirements
The CD House accepts PC compatible files supplied on CD-R, CD-RW, or 3.5” floppy disk. Our supported design programs are Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
Templates for design can be found on this website. Artwork must fall inside these parameters with an additional 1/8 INCH BLEED for trimming purposes (excluding CD label artwork).
The CD House art department can provide you with artwork design and layout, typesetting, photo placement, etc. at a cost of $65.00 per hour. ALL JOBS SUPPLIED on disk will be output as is, unless adjustments (color work, resizing, etc.) are requested by customer in advance. Adjustments are charged at the rate of $65.00 per hour, half hour minimum.
CAUTION: Computer disks are extremely vulnerable to heat, magnetic fields, scratches, etc. The CD House is not responsible for any loss of data. Please make adequate backup copies of all data before sending disks to us. Please make sure to follow these important guidelines:
* ALL Art should have a resolution of at least 300 dpi (dots per inch).
* All artwork must be converted to CMYK or Grayscale from RGB (Except CDR CD face design, which are printed on an inkjet printer instead of screenprinted. These jobs should use RGB color scheme).
* All picture files should be saved as either TIFF (Tag Image File Format) with LZW compression or EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) with jpeg binary compression set to highest quality, or JPEG set at highest quality.
* A 4-color process job consists of the colors CMYK. If you base the colors of your design by PANTONE (or other spot) colors, please make sure to convert the colors into Process Separation (excluding CD Label artwork).
* All sides of the document (excluding CD Label artwork) must have 1/8 inch bleed. |
